What do discoverabook do?

• We publish and sell ebooks on the internet specializing in new authors who are trying to find a publisher or agent.

 

What will discoverabook do for an author?

• We will list your book on the internet and offer it for sale as an ebook. Readers may read about the book and download the first chapter for free, if they like what they read they can pay to download the rest of your book. You will receive 50% of the proceeds. This web site is designed to allow you to sell your work without incurring vanity publishing costs. Remember if you have a book that is successful and selling well we will approach publishers on your behalf to enquire about a publishing deal.

 

Why use your site and not some of the others available?

• Other sites do not work the same way that we do!
  If you are an author and you want your work to be published you will also want it to be found. The sheer fact that you have found this site amongst all of the other book and publishers sites and you are reading this shows that we are already a long way to achieving what you want. Many book publishers are so specific to their trade that new authors are unlikely to know of their web address and find them. Advertising on the web is useless if no one can find your site from a general search. We promote this site through what is currently most popular search engine Google and regularly achieve some of the highest rankings.

 

What are your prices like?

• We are currently offering listings FREE for authors and writers. Books offered for sale will initially be available at a very low cost; this may be changed as we become more established. As a new site we have intentionally set our advertising prices much lower than our competitors. Although we do expect to increase them as the site becomes more popular. In addition we have some introductory Special Offers.

 

How do you earn your money?

• We charge a fee for every sale made and earn royalties from any publishing deal that you may be offered [Please read our terms and conditions]

 

Who are discoverabook.com?

• We are a newly formed privately owned company registered in the UK with a vision of establishing websites that are consumer orientated. We are non traditional and like to "look outside of the square". Our experience has been that many companies have not grasped the reality of the internet. Many have web sites which are hard to find, difficult to navigate and use and in our opinion poorly put together.
  
  We believe that the market place for e-books is enormous and relatively untouched. Discoverabook is new, innovative and exciting and we anticipate will be the market leader for New Authors and Writers. There is great satisfaction to be achieved from a job well done.

 

Where is my password?

• Your password is emailed to the address you used during registration. If your password hasn't arrived;
  *  Allow up to 10 minutes for your registration email to arrive
  *  Check the email address you registered with is was correct and operational
  *  Make sure your email service (e.g. Hotmail, Yahoo, Google, etc.) isn't sending our email to the spam folder
  

 

Why can’t I login?

• The commonest reason for login failure is typing a password in incorrectly. If you find remembering your randomly generated password too difficult to remember, you can change it to something more memorable in your user profile under options.

 

I live Overseas, can I register with discoverabook?

• It does not matter where you live, but please remember you are responsible for what you write. If you can pay us and we can pay you - you can use this site.

 

I submitted a book. Why can't I see it?

• Work Posted enters a queue and should be visible on the net within 72 hours.

 

Are any subjects forbidden?

• Books are listed by category; they must be the property of the author and must not be defamatory or slanderous or contain material that may be considered to be possibly litigious. We accept adult material but may choose not to publish work that we consider is offensive – site users can complain about any material that they believe is offensive and this may result in removal from the site [subject to our discretion].

 

What if I have more than 1 book to submit ?

• Where multi listings are made on within 7 days of the first listing reduced charges are available please email us for further information admin@discoverabook.com

 

How many formats will my book be available in?

• As many as you have uploaded you will be charged IT IS FREE TO LIST YOUR BOOK EXCEPT FOR THE PAGE TURNING FORMAT WE SUGGEST YOU list your book in as many formats as you like [increasing your possible sales] – you are responsible for the number of formats you offer and you must upload each format.

 

Including Page turning format?

• We use specialist software and will convert your document to page turning format. A nominal charge of £10.00 [or the equivalent currency] is made. Page turning format will increase the desirability of your work.
